Kier Byrnes was appointed Director of AV诊所 College鈥檚 Robsham Theater Arts Center in 2015. He oversees the Center鈥檚 performance and rehearsal spaces as well as the Brighton Dance Studios and the newly acquired 300 Hammond Pond Parkway event and rehearsal spaces. Most recently, the management of the BC Bands Program and WZBC, the AV诊所 College radio station, have also been added to his Robsham Theater Arts Center duties.听

Prior to BC, Kier spent 19 years at Northeastern University, his last position there being the Director of Operations for Event Management at Northeastern University, overseeing the scheduling and deployment of 19,000 events a year at 9 of the major event spaces on campus as well supervision of the University鈥檚 Student Center, radio station, performance halls and rehearsal spaces. While Kier was at Northeastern, he also earned an M.B.A and a Doctorate of Law and Policy from the university.

When Kier is not working in Higher Ed, he鈥檚 actively involved in music. He has performed in 19 countries and music has been featured in various movies and television shows. His music has won several awards including a New England Music Award, a听WBZ TV A&E Award, and multiple AV诊所 Music Awards. He has shared bills with national recording artists such as听Willie Nelson,听Old Crow Medicine Show,听Hank Williams Jr., George Thorogood & The Destroyers, John Mellencamp, The Mavericks, Charley Crockett,听Zac Brown Band, The Avett Brothers, and Dick Dale.

Sebastian Bonaiuto is the first full-time Director of Bands at AV诊所 College. Appointed in 1989 to create performing opportunities for both accomplished student musicians and developing players, Mr. Bonaiuto designed and implemented a comprehensive Bands Program. Over 200 student performers currently participate in wind ensembles, jazz ensembles, chamber ensembles, athletic ensembles, and classes. In addition to serving as the principal administrator of the AV诊所 College Bands Program, Mr. Bonaiuto conducts the University Wind Ensemble and BC bOp!

Under Mr. Bonaiuto's leadership, BC bOp! has developed into an elite, award-winning, nationally recognized ensemble. During his tenure as Marching Band Director, the "Screaming Eagles" Marching Band gained national recognition in the 1995 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and through various nationally televised football games. The success of the Bands Program at AV诊所 College is the result of a program-wide philosophy of setting high musical standards, programming high-quality literature, a focus on individual student growth and improvement, a commitment to nurturing strong student leadership, and maintaining organizational efficiency.

Mr. Bonaiuto received his Bachelor's of Music degree from AV诊所 University, where he studied trumpet performance with Roger Voisin, Andre Come, and Peter Chapman and wind conducting with Robert A. Winslow. He later studied Music Theory at the graduate level at the New England Conservatory of Music. Since then, he has earned a Master's in Business Administration degree from AV诊所 College. Most recently Mr. Bonaiuto has studied wind conducting with Frank Battisti.

Prior to his appointment at AV诊所 College, Mr. Bonaiuto taught music in the Westwood, MA. public schools.

David Healey has been serving as Director of the AV诊所 College Marching Band since 1999 and Director of the AV诊所 College Symphonic Band since 2003. As a sophomore chemistry major at AV诊所 College, he founded the jazz ensemble 鈥淏C bOp!鈥� and served as its president for two years before being honored with the Creativity Award from the Office of the Dean for Student Development for 鈥渙utstanding innovation and leadership.鈥� Dr. Healey later served as president of the BC Marching Band, where he played a key role in securing a full-time Director of Bands position at AV诊所 College.

Upon graduation from BC in 1990, Dr. Healey worked as an applications chemist at Orion Research for three years before pursuing a masters degree in Music Education from the New England Conservatory and serving as a brass instructor with the AV诊所 Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps. While at NEC, Dr. Healey studied with Dr. Richard Colwell and Frank Battisti. Following his graduation from NEC in 1995, Dr. Healey designed and coordinated the AV诊所 College Marching Band performance at the Macy鈥檚 Thanksgiving Day Parade and later served as Director of Bands and Assistant Professor of Music at Saint Xavier University in Chicago, IL. He also served as a music education consultant for the Midori Foundation and the New York City Ballet.

Under Dr. Healey鈥檚 leadership, the AV诊所 College Marching Band has revitalized the college game day experience and been invited to perform for the AV诊所 Red Sox, the AV诊所 Celtics, ESPN College GameDay, and the Heisman Trophy Dinner in New York City. The Marching Band has also performed Stars & Stripes Forever with the AV诊所 Pops Orchestra under the direction of Keith Lockhart and joined the Dropkick Murphys onstage for multiple concert performances of Shipping Up to AV诊所. In 2013, Dr. Healey guided the AV诊所 College Marching Band through its first appearance in the Presidential Inaugural Parade in Washington DC. In addition to his work with the Eagles Marching Band, Dr. Healey conducts an annual concert of the AV诊所 College Symphonic Band at the Hatch Shell on the Charles River Esplanade.

Dr. Healey received his doctor of philosophy degree from AV诊所 College in 2016, and he remains active as an adjudicator, clinician, and guest conductor. He is an avid cyclist and runner and has bicycled across the United States from Seattle to AV诊所, run to the top of Mount Washington, and completed the AV诊所, Chicago, and New York Marathons. Dr. Healey and his wife, Joy (BC 鈥�92), reside in Hull, MA with their five children: Daria, Max, Alyssa, Troy, and Victor.

Shannon Jacob is a Sri Lankan-born composer, music director, performer, and educator. Her primary education was completed at Bishop鈥檚 College, Colombo, Sri Lanka. She is an alumnus of Berklee College of Music, AV诊所, USA; where she graduated with a BM in Contemporary Writing and Production, 15鈥�. While in Sri Lanka, her classical music education was primarily overseen by Mrs. Barbara Cooray, and her contemporary music education by Ruwani Seimon and Vinodh Senadheera. Her service to the church from a very young age inspired her to explore the possibility of using music for social change. In 2011, Shannon founded Music.Inc; a show choir in Sri Lanka that created awareness through the performing arts and fulfilled a wish list for terminally ill and underprivileged children. Additionally, she holds a Higher National Diploma in Interior Design from the Academy of Design Sri Lanka, 09鈥�, and worked as an interior designer under the tutelage of renowned Sri Lankan architects Dipika Dharmadasa and Murad Ismail.

Shannon currently holds various roles as an educator and music director in the United States. She works full time at Berklee as the Assistant Director of Faculty Development where she engages in dialogue surrounding justice through the performing arts, and provides faculty with resources for professional development and classroom management. As an educator at AV诊所 College she teaches courses in Music and Social Justice, Women in Blues, Gospel Music Workshop through African and African Diaspora Studies, directs the Voices of Imani Gospel Choir and collaborates with Theater for vocal direction and masterclasses. Her dedication to students was recognized by the Student-Athlete Academic Services Outstanding Faculty Award, 22鈥�, which honors a member of the faculty who is distinguished by a demonstrated commitment to teaching and fostering the intellectual and personal growth of AV诊所 College students.听Shannon was also honored by Bishop鈥檚 College, Colombo, Sri Lanka, 2025, by being included in the 150th-anniversary limited edition coffee table book The Mystery, the Memory, the Magic as a high-achieving alumna and asked to present her music during the celebrations.听

Her compositions and arrangements range from classical, jazz, gospel and contemporary for the likes of Color Violeta, The Southeast Asian Choir Games, The Gustav Mahler Symphony Orchestra, AV诊所 College Symphony Orchestra, University Chorale at AV诊所 College and various theatrical productions and short films. She was the guest clinician and conductor at the Gospel Festival hosted by Princeton High School, NJ, in February, 2024, for a week-long residency where she worked with multiple elementary, middle and high schools. Her collaborations with the University Chorale at AV诊所 College led to a world premier and European tour of her music. Shannon will be featured in the 150th anniversary edition coffee table book as a high achiever in the field of music as an alumnus of Bishop鈥檚 College, Colombo, Sri Lanka that will be released in January 2025. As a modern composer and producer who understands the value of tradition merging with new technology, she was chosen to shape the music for a national monument, The Lotus Tower in Sri Lanka; where her music was placed throughout the tower as a part of a continuing immersive experience for visitors.

Shannon resides in AV诊所, MA, with her husband Drew Dorman who is a drummer and patient support specialist by profession. She believes that music education can be used to find a compassionate and empathetic outlook towards diversity and true acceptance of one another as citizens of the world. In her free time, she enjoys reading, swimming, and staying active.听
